Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Wisconsin

In WI: Co-signed on my son's truck loan and would like to be removed from the loan. Do I have the right to sell the truck if he continues to be late on the payments?

Yes, you have a right to repossess and sell the vehicle, provided that you negotiated such an agreement with with your son in connection with agreeing to cosign his auto loan. If not, you would need to sue and get a judgment of replevin first, for which you would probably need a lawyer to assist you unless you have collection industry experienced yourself. However, on a less expensive note, your obligations are also dischargeable in bankruptcy, if that is an option for you. Anyone you has problems with bills would do well to have a free initial chat with an experienced bankruptcy lawyer.
