Legal Question in Criminal Law in Wisconsin

I was caught switching price tags in a retail store today. The store security, called me to a room, made me sign trespassing papers saying I won't be coming back to the store for 2 years and also said I would receive a Civil Fine Notice from their lawyer and handed me a note which says I have been apprehended for Civil Theft. No police was called and he clearly tad this is not criminal but civil charges. He also told me that if I pay the fine, I might be welcomed back to the store after 1 year.

Will this affect my immigration in any way in the future? The security also told me it does not get reflected in Background Check.

Where will this charge get reflected in?

Yes, any minor crime can effect your ability to get a green card or naturalization, although shoplifting is not as bad as some other potential charges involving violence or moral turpitude. The security officer was absolutely wrong, however, in telling you that such a conviction would not show up in any in depth background investigation. If you value your future, hire an experienced lawyer to handle this matter.
