Legal Question in Criminal Law in Wisconsin

HI.....

If you had a car accident, and had a concussion , couldn't tell the officer your side of the story that day.................

Do you need to go back and give your side of the accident to the officer.....even if you were not at fault?

Thank You

Yes, but only if you let your attorney be your mouthpiece, and first make sure that providing the statement will be in your best interest. Sometimes, the best place to make such as statement is in front of a jury, rather than at the police department, unless the lawyer is relatively confident the providing the statement sooner will help get you a better resolution of the charges early on. This advice applies equally whether or not you suffered a concussion in the accident.
