Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Wisconsin

Tenant/Landlord Rental Agreement

My tenants signed a lease from 08/06-09/01/07. Long story short, I am moving back to the area and after several conversations with them letting them know not to feel obligated, etc. they agreed to move into one of my dads houses. My dad even offered them 1 free mt rent. I offered the use of my trailer and my help moving. I made sure they were in agreement. One of my tenants even offered the use of the garage so I could keep my stuff in it until they moved out. I gave notice to my landlord, moved all of my stuff back into my garage @ my house (from VA to WI) and before I even unloaded the trailer, spoke w/ 1 of tenants again to make sure it is what they wanted to do. Next day, 1 of the 3 tenants called and stated ''because of the mis-communication they will be staying in house for end of lease. They thought they got free rent at my house and at my dad--name removed--house. I told them if they were able to get out by July 7, no rent would be charged and they still get free rent at my dad Other wise, they would still be charged and we could do it weekly until they moved. I had to go move all of my furniture out into another place and now I don't have a place to live. my dad lost tenants, my roomate gave notice and I am mad ??

Re: Tenant/Landlord Rental Agreement

Given all the apparent confusion attached to this muddled matter, it looks as if the landlord may have to "suck it up", so to speak, at least until September when the lease will apparently expire.
