Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Wisconsin

My home is in foreclosure and I just got a letter saying the closing date is the end of this month. We have tried to go through another modification but I don't think that it will go through. With my husband working now, we can afford a mortgage payment again (he was laid off with no pay for almost 6 months). Is there still a chance to save my home?

Not sure what you mean by the "closing date," but any time before the sheriff's sale has been confirmed, you can save your home by filing a viable chapter 13 plan and following up with all court requirements for making payments, etc., including all future mortgage payments outside the plan. Talk to an experienced bankruptcy lawyer first thing Monday if you want any chance of succeeding with all of this, since filing a chapter 13 is a big job, which can take months of preparation prior to filing.
