Car accident damages are normally dischargeable in bankruptcy unless you were drunk at the time, so talk to a bankruptcy lawyer early on, before license revocation proceedings are started against you due to driving without insurance. In order to save your license, the bankruptcy lawyer will need a few months of lead time to prepare tons of paperwork before your license is gone. However, even after it is taken, bankruptcy should still allow you to reinstate, eventually.
