Legal Question in Business Law in Guyana

Barrans, a customer, sustained an injury when she slipped in a caferteria operating by Hogan, there was no evidence as to who threw the particle on the floor, how long it had been lying there, or that Hogan had any knowledge that a dangerous condition exist where Barrans fell. Was Hogan liable for negligence in an action brought against him by Barrans?
