we have a shop in cellar/basement where we deal with snacks like pizza, burger,sandwich,ice creams and stuffs like that with mainly eatable items. now we approached for BBMP(Bruhat bangalore mahanagar palike) for the trade licence and the food licence , it is a newly opened shop around 15 days, and the officials are saying that they wont grant licence as it is in underground / basement / cellular according to recent change in government from BJP TO CONGRESS. when we posed a question that there are many other shops like this in basement itself dealings with eatery in the same kind , the answer given by the official that this development is taken because the new government. . the shop is located in a commercial area in Bangalore called basaweshwaranagar . the size of the shop is around 600 square feet.

so, it will be grateful if you provide the solution for this problem because we have already invested around 5 to 6 lakhs for the newly set up shop. i will be waiting for your reply.please help me with this problem

Dear Sir / Madam,

You had sought an opinion from me well before you opened the shop, and I had informed you that the survey report from the Food & Drug Administration officials in Bengaluru was important prior to investing any monies in setting up a food outlet. You will have to ensure that there is proper water connection, proper exhaust ducts and proper drainage connection to the shop; else I'm afraid, you may have to change your line of business or close it down.
