Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in India

In continuation to my previous query quoted below, I am ready to pay the condition (sum of money father kept as a condition). Already I have paid to one sibling who gave a receipt as well. But another one sibling is not happy with the deal. In this case, What is the value of my father will. Also, is Hindu law mentioned by you applicable to traditional Christians of Kerala? Thank you so much for the help Adv. Sudershan Goel.

Query: My father got the ancestral land property from my grandfather through natural succesion as he had no siblings. There was no will or gift deed given to him. My father wrote a will for me in 1986 which was intact till his death in 2005. In the same will, my father instructed me to give a sum of money to my siblings. Is the will valid as it is ancestral property? Does my father have authority to write a will as it is the ancestral property? Is unequal distribution of property in the will invalid as it is ancestral property. Is there any chance for the will to become invalid? We are kerala christians.

Sir, I am not aware of any personal law applicable to "Kerala Christians". However, as advised before, a conditional will is valid under Transfer of Property Act. You may choose to 'elect' your options. It may better to consult a local lawyer by showing him a copy of the will and the receipt you mentioned.
