Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in India

My grandafther is 79 years old and he has the inherited property in maharashtra from his father earnings,at the time of house purchase in 1970 .my great grandfather has 4 sons and 2 daughters .the greatgrandfather purchased house for all 4 sons in 1970 in their names and give some gold to their daughters.in agriculture land all childrens names are recorded on record.the greatgrandfather dont't make will at that time.he expires in 1990.all childrens are living in their own houses.the younger son filed a civil suit for properties.my question is can my grandfather make will?how should he know what he gets in his share as the case filed is 3 months old and it takes at least 10 years to get the result.whether my grandfather makes will he has 3 childrens.
