Legal Question in Technology Law in India

I send an anonymous emails to a girl saying that her boyfriend had physical relations with anathor girl and he is not what he pretends to be in front of her!!! And in doing so I may have send my IP address with that letter.........and I think in sending her emails I may have violated IT ACT of India which says that any false information spreading or sending of offensive and menacing emails to anyone can be punished under IT ACT but my letters weren't offensive ........can I still be booked under IT ACT? I live in India.......

yes,it is false information you also defamation case book..you have also send e-mail with apologies base with mistake.
