Legal Question in Construction Law in India

Am a landlord for a building and now tenant approach me for a lease agreement for 30 years on my building with a good rent per month ...he would spend money for alter /repair my building for his business ....is it okay to sign the lease agreement with him?......or is there any complication? am not receiving any advance/security money

Well, it is purely a personal prerogative. You have to see if you would require the property during this 30 years period or not. The other considerations are your age, your own or your children's need in 30 years. there is no limit on period of lease. But as suggested, you must register it. there should be an escalation clause. Penalty clause. clause terminating lease on breach of terms of lease etc.
