But accidently, I have written a/c no. 629301100885 instead of a/c no. 629301100585, while I have mentioned the correct name Vivek Kumar Gupta and IFSC code in the NEFT brochure given to Yes Bank Ltd. Due to this error the above amount has been credited to the incorrect account no. 629301100885 belong to Mr. Rakesh Singh, Resident of E-97, Karampura, New Delhi.

Mr. Rakesh Singh who earlier had this account in Rajouri Garden branch, transferred to ICICI Bank branch in Punjabi Bagh, New Delhi a few months back as told by the Manager, ICICI Bank, Rajouri Garden, New Delhi.

After this transaction a complaint was registered in Yes Bank Ltd, Ghaziabad and another complaint was also registered in ICICI Bank Punjabi Bagh. No action was taken by any bank so far. (Documents attached)

I do understand that mistake from my end but mistake happened at ICICI Bank as well. Also, I want to bring in your notice that banks for NEFT transection need beneficiary name, account number and the IFSC code of the branch. When this amount reached to the ICICI bank it is mandatory to tally all these parameters and only than money should be transferred to the beneficiary account. But in my case the beneficiary name and branch IFSC code was correct but mistake was in account number and why all three parameters were not matched by ICICI bank and leniently the amount was transferred to Mr Rakesh Singh account whose NAME and IFSC code do not match with the NEFT details. In view of above, ICICI bank should reversed this transection to me knowing this mistake or else should confirm to me rather transferring amount alone based on account number while NAME and IFSC code were not tallying.

I visited both branch Rajouri Garden & Punjabi Bagh (As account has shifted to Punjabi bank branch) and met Deputy Manager but I have not got any proper answer from them and did not know what to do. They have only made account as Lien but I am not sure when Mr. Rakesh Singh will fund his a/c or bank look out to recover money from him. It�s a Bank mistake and its need to be refunded the money to my account, immediately.

I request you solve this matter and help me to get my money back. I also want to bring your notice that I am a SENIOR CITIZEN already crossed 70 years of age and do not want to hang myself in legal issues.

I approached to Punjabi Bagh Police station and they are just taken complaint and not doing anything and saying that this your mistake you see how will you solve the matter.

PS is not registering FIR and even behaving with me as if I am the culprit.

have you asked the benificary for the refund of the amount?? you can bring the fact to his notice and the two of you togather can get the bank to do the needful. send a legal notice to the bank and send the police complaint online to the police commissioner. go to the delhi police website and you will find the link. Make a complaint to the police commissioner by bringing on record the above facts and also the harrassment meted out to you by the police official. I am sure without going to the court you will get the money.
