Dear Sir / Madam,

You should lodge a Police complaint and get the issue resolved with the assistance of the Police. Your friend will have to confess before the Police whether he / she has received the cash, and as soon as he / she confesses, you should ask him / her to return back your bounced cheque in the presence of the Police Sub-Inspector itself. Lastly, you should collect a copy of the Police FIR too for your record. Please re-post query if there is no Police action within 3 days of lodging the FIR.

Regards,
