Dear Sir / Madam,

India and the United Arab Emirates share an extradition treaty. You will have to settle your dues, the question is whether you choose to settle it in UAE, or in India. When I was employed in Abu Dhabi, UAE during the period 1992-1997, I had a Standard Chartered loan outstanding of Dirhams 34,000/- on my head. Standard Chartered, Mumbai immediately started following up with me for settlement of the money. But, I secured another job with the GSA of Qatar Airways back in Dubai, UAE and knocked off Dirhams 24,000/- of the loan I then switched over to Holland House Trading LLC, Dubai, UAE and cleared the entire loan and I wound up "lock stock barrel" from the UAE. Likewise, you too have to repay and settle your credit card dues. Whether you choose to settle it in India or overseas is entirely up to you. Slam the final outstanding dues statement of your Credit Card in Dirhams that you owed, on the face of the local agents who are claiming the excess money and tell them that you will only settle Dhs 1,000/- plus simple interest @ 15% per annum from the last due date of settlement of your card dues till the date of full repayment.

Regards,
