Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in India

Sir, I am a civil contractor in Nagpur. when I was working one day a man started helping me. he is wealthy and a businessman one day he started to help me in every possible way. I thought what is the matter why is he helping me do the work. but one day he asked me he want to do work on my registration. I agreed to it and I told him okk my commission will be 4% on the work amount. he agreed. but what I saw he started to work and taking advice and was using me in relationship and I also was looking after his works as a friend. we got many talks, he started to tell me whatever help you will need I will help you its our money. the check was coming on my name and it came. I started giving him checks selflessly. all was fine. one day he told me that I want to make my own registration help me out with this. I thought and I thought this will make my percentage also washed out as he will not work on my registration anymore. I helped him and made his registration. he started to work on his registration. as usual I was getting my 4% loss in relation I cannot say anything to him but got harassed. then I took advice from a close friend about the situation. he said he was using you and now you have the right to use his money and return him only after you got your bills. I agreed and used five lakhs on my next work which was in loss. now the person is asking me to give the money. I agreed I used his money. but unable to pay. I am ready to pay him as I will be in a good condition. now he comes time to time asking for money and I am unable to pay. he has started insulting me. emotionally blackmailing me and my parents. now my question is all these things are not written and all things happened verbally. do he have right to harass me. my parents agreed to pay him. but it is sounding me otherwise. now my parents fear we have to give him as he is a criminal person. what should I do. please advice me. is there any case claim on this issue.

From the facts so stated in the question, i do not think if there is any case except for the recovery, a civil action. you need not worry or your parents also need not worry. Parents have no liability. so, why are they worried. You need to take the papers to a lawyer who will be able to handle the situation.
