Legal Question in Criminal Law in Philippines

Hi, Atty. I have a big problem. I was accused of fraud by my previous employer. Since they have all the records and the information pointing me as the main culprit, I admitted the charges in writing and they eventually placed me on preventive suspension. While on suspension, I received a letter directing me to appear in a Administrative Conference. It is stated on the notice that, they are giving me a chance to rebut or further explain and if I fail to appear, it means that I am waiving my right to be heard and that they they may now exercise prerogative disciplinary actions. Honestly, I have no plans of appearing since it will just cause me more shame and pain seeing again all those people who have accused me. In short, I just want to put everything behind. However, I'm wondering, what can happen if I do not appear? Is is possible for them to file a case against me? Of so, what charges can they accused me of? And what options can I do to somehow resolve this? Thanks in advance!
