Legal Question in Criminal Law in India

i was a director of one of the companies but i resigned it in the month of july but there was a fir lodged against the company for cheating by its one of the investor in the month of august . will i be held responsible

Dear Sir / Madam,

If the FIR pertains to allegations of wrong doing during the time you were the Director of the Company, you will be held responsible and answerable to acts done during your Directorship in the Company.
