Legal Question in Criminal Law in India
I sent an email to a person of category X saying that persons of category X are less ethical than persons of category Y. It was meant to be a general comment however I missed out the word general. It was marked cc to many persons of both categories X and Y.
1. Can the person of category X misuse my email and my inadvertent error and file a defamation suit against me ?
2. What is the time limit for filing defamation suit?
3. What should I do to prevent myself from being dragged to attend court? Can I apologize by writing directly to the court by post?
