Our Neighbour has wrongly filed a criminal complaint of Tresspassing and Destruction of property on my father, we want to know the procedure to be followed and what are implications

If the complaint has been filed with the police, after investigation, the police may submit a report [also known as challan] to the concerned court. If the accused persons are found guilty, they may be prosecuted.

The implications are: the accused person may be sentenced to a jail term, if found guilty.

Remedy: You should cooperate with the police during investigation and try to bring the true facts on record. You may also like to engage a defence counsel during trial/prosecution.
