The accused is taking a very serious risk. What were the conditions of the bail? Was he on anticipatory bail or regular bail.? So far, how the exexption have been sought? One needs to go through the bail order to see if contempt or perjury has been made out or not.

If otherwise things are in order, one may file for permanent exemption of the accused.
