Legal Question in Discrimination Law in United States

I was wronfully terminated from a summer camp job. The camp director admitted to throwing away 2 pairs of shoes I had on my bed in my cabin in the dumpster. After he terminated me for bringing this up he and the camp owner offered to pay for my shoes! I have a verbal and written statement saying they would pay me. Now 2 weeks later I hear nothing from the camp. Is there anything I can do for them to pay me for the items they damaged?

Nothing in your post indicates you were "wrongfully terminated" in the legal sense (just the opposite). If you can't get reimbursement for the shoes after speaking with the highest levels of people who own or run the camp, you are left with spending the time and money on a small claims case. Of course, we don't know all the facts of what really happened. Whether it is worth the time and expense of suing because someone at a summer camp put your shoes in the dumpster -- highly unlikely.
