Legal Question in Family Law in India

Change in initial of my child.
I am a divorcee .At the time of my child's birth I was carrying the initial of my husband.So,I took the birth certificate with husband's initial.Now I want to change the initial of my son and mine.
I have applied with GHMC for correction of birth certificate,as all my documents like aadhar card, ration card carry my parent's initial .But GHMC reject my application stating that "Intentional correction not possible" I am worried about my son who will be going to 10 class next year and due to his birth certificate initials does not match with aadhar card & his bonafide certificate It would hamper his education...:( Please guide me with proper case ruling to refer to them. I would be thankful.
