Legal Question in Family Law in India

My father has done all his property in the name of my step mother.He has not left any will.Have I right to share that property?

Dear Client,

There are two kinds of properties - ancestral property and self-earned property. If your father has inherited ancestral property and transferred it to your step mother then you can claim share in that property. In the latter case, however, you may not be eligible to claim any share if the property has been transferred in your step mother's name.

dear client if property is self earned by yr father then he can dispose it according to his own wish. if property is ancestral then u have share in the property. for asking yr share file suit of partition in the civil court. for any legal help call me on 9422611385

So first try to know that whether the property transferred by your father is ancestral or self earned.
