Legal Question in Family Law in France

Hello,

After 15 years of marraige, my husband and I have decided to call it quits. Neither of us is French (we are from Botswana and Spain) and we relocated here 2 and a half years ago. My husband is the main bread winner in the family though I have a part time job I started recently. We have given our landlord notice to leave this apartment with the intention of moving into 2 separate apartments. As it turns out, my husband and I have not begun divorce proceedings and we have not reached agreement on most things yet. He is offering to pay for my apartment but will not put it in wiriting. I am having a hard time finding a place and time is running out.

1. If I find a place, should I go ahead and move there?

2. Should I only move out when the divorce proceedings have begun?

3. what are the possible consequences I might face if we separate like this?
