Legal Question in Family Law in India

My husband expired in December 2010. Now I am living in my parent's house with my child. My father-in-law has acquired ancestral property in Gurgaon. Now he has transferred half of it to my deceased husband's elder brother through release deed. One of the ancestral plot has been sold. My FIL is in process of disposing the whole ancestral property. They are not ready to give my share as a widow. My Counsel says that we can't apply for stay on the unsold share as well as suit for partition. Please advice as what to do to get my share in the property.
