Legal Question in Family Law in India

hi law experts,
I need urgent clarification.
one of my friend struggling for her wife. my friend got married 2013. he is middle class family. after one month his wife told i thought you rich but middle class not able live with you and went out his house after 2 months filed wrong dowry cases. last six year he fighting with lot of cases which is filed by her. he very much suffered and last year high court ordered interem maintain to her he gave that amount but last march 2018 he admitted hospital due to stomach pain after comes to he having gastric cancer second stage. he very much suffering and admitted one and more month hospital. he taking continues treatment now his liver effect due to cancer. he not going office last four months. he informed his lawyer and his wife but without humanity she asking settlement amount. she and her lawyer demanding 5 lakhs. they after my friend death she want live with peacefully. now friend situation very much bad. i spent morethan 2 lakhs to his hospital expense. for her torcher he gave 20000 last in my amount.
i dont want that amount. but i want he recover soon. how can face her demand and monthly maintain amount. doctor confirm next 6 or one year he can able live before they forcing to get amount.
please advice anyone. — feeling emotional.
