a man dies leaving behind a widow and very young child of 2 years. if the widow remarries, can the father of the deceased husband claim custody of his grandchild?

Yes He can claim Custody of Child by filing an application before Guardian Judge. The suit can be filed only in the district where the child resides currently.

Yes He can claim Custody of Child and he has to prove that the welfare of the minor would be with him and not with mother who got remarried.

yes he can claim custody of the child but as u said the child is of 2 years so it quiet difficult to prove that at such age the welfare of child is with the grandparents and not with her mother.the only question to be determined by the guardian court is the welfare of the child..2nd marriage by the mother of child can not be the sole ground for grant of custody to the grandparents.
