Dear Madam,

We understand from your query that you have been married with your husband for 4 years.

Your marriage was concluded in Lebanon according to the rules of the Maronite Church.

You have a 3 years old boy.

You are encountering problems with your husband which may be resumed to be:

a) Incompatibility of characters

b) Violence from his end.

You are asking if the above facts lead to divorce and who will have the guardianship of your boy:

Our answer is:

1- Yes you can have a divorce based on the above facts. The Maronite Court will have jurisdiction to rule on your case.

2- You can have the guardianship of your kid. (He will have the right of visit)

3- You need definitely to take protection measurements to protect yourself from his violence once you start the divorce proceeding.

In all cases we need to have the details of your case and are ready to discuss it with you. Please send us a request at the following email: [email protected]

Regards
