Legal Question in Family Law in India

Hi,

I and my mother going through a tough phase.seeking help from LawGuru.

My father took some money from a third person who wanted to get a governmnet job illegally knowing its a crime to buy a govt job and my father himself is unemployed(he is not in a respective position to get the job for other people).some how he couldnt

get the job and asking to return their money.all these things we got to know by third person.at the same time out of this frustration my father used to behave rudely with my mother.so i asked my mother to stay away from him and to stay with my sister who is alredy married.my father dint earn/save a penny.knowing this,those people started asking my mother n me for the money..i am working as a s\ w engineer.but couldnt save any money because of my father.he even took money from me.now we are no where connected to him.we dont have any properties either.Can you please suggest me,does the law say that we should returm their money which was happend with out our involvment and with no agreement papers?

please help me out.

you are not responsible at all till your father is alive.

So better to saveguard immediately and send a legal notice and publication in newspaper that you and your mother have no relation with your father and all the liabilities should be owned by your father only.

your mother can file maintenance also and live peacefully.
