Legal Question in Family Law in Pakistan

if a muslim couple has been childless for 17 years.husband intends 2nd marriage.first wife is reluctant to allow him 2nd marriage,where as huband has strng desire for child.howcan pakistani law protect that childless husband?

the husband hv strong reason so in light of islamic and legal point of view he is allowed

there's a procedure through which husband can apply for a cirtificate from arbitration council for 2nd marriage and in the given circumstances he should file an application before arbitration council for grant of permission/cirtificate, but in that eventuality husband may loose his first wife...

shria should be prevailed, husband if can and agreed to maintain his both wives equelly then shria allow him
