Legal Question in Family Law in South Africa

If a single mother leaves custody of her daughter after she has passed way to two friends who are not romantically involved with eachother but with other people,how does the guy gain custody of the child if he is in a relationship with another woman.what can he do to better his chances to gain custody or even joint custody of the child,he has a stable income and a stable work enviroment but not living arrangement..WIll it help if the guy and his girlfriend move in together get incaged and can prove a stable living enviroment?can it better his chances...PEASe PLEASE explai all his rights and acts that may help and what he can do to better his chances?

You must think only of what is good for the child. That is what the Court does. You have not given sufficient information for a proper answer. For example what relationship do you have with the child? Where is the father? Have this couple legally adopted the child?
