Legal Question in Family Law in India

Hello Sir/Madam,

My sister got married on 18th Nov'13 in Baroda. Since then the family has been tormenting my sister about the marriage arrangements.

To give you a snapshot about the marriage, firstly then insisted the marriage to be in Baroda & then my father asked for 50-50 share they simply denied.To add to this, they demanded the marriage to be held in a 5 star Hotel but as we belong to a middle class family my father refused and then after so much of discussion and arguments they got read for the marriage in a residency club.

My father has spend a lot of money on this marriage and have given lot of gold ornaments(around 10 Gms) & cash in the marriage, still they harass my sister about the marriage & arrangements, the situation got worst and worst, so my sister insisted for a home visit(1st jan'14) and didn't gone back after that back to Baroda since then.

I have following queries :-

1) Can we claim our belongings back from them i.e Gold & cash?

2) Can we file plea against them for dowry & domestic violence.

3) Can we claim for money for all the marriage arrangements( 10 Lakhs got spend overall apart from gold & cash)

Please need your advice of this.

Dear client u can recover yr belonging by filling domestic violence. U can also recover marriage expenses and ask compensation for mental harassment in domestic violence case. File police complaint under sec 498 a against him and family for dowry harassment. For any legal help call me on 9422611385
