Legal Question in Civil Litigation in India

We own the first floor of the building being partially acquired for road widening.The staircase landing and acess to our floor is hinderd because of the loss of the column supporting the stairway the common owner of the ground floor and second floor is not intrested in retaining the building and is not in favour of retaining the building and wont agree for any reinforcement work and vertical support .The 42 year old RCC building is sound and structurally stable what is our chances of getting vertical support for the remaining portion and staircase acess to my floor and will the gouvernment meet the expenses in reinforcing and alteration work.

Dear Sir / Madam,

At the outset, if the concerned Municipality or Government authority is acquiring your building for road widening, it is advisable that all the residents claim compensation at the prevailing market price, and relocate to a better more suitable quieter locality. In my view, the ground and second floor residents have a practical viewpoint and you too should join them in getting the fair price for the property.
