Legal Question in Civil Litigation in India

I don't know where to put it. But I had to choose a category out of the available ones.

I started to work on an independent publishing platform/business.

1) I had some 3-6 months royalties left with them and they are not willing to pay any amount out of the total sum.

The reason they cited for the termination of my account was one of relating to infringement of copyright. And therefore they refused to pay me any unpaid royalties.

However, I pointed out to them that it was their fault that actually brought such problem (infringement notice).

I have backing proof in the form mails received from the publishing business that will point the guilt towards them. Does emails send by businesses do for evidence in the court of law?

2) More importantly, the said publishing business who had terminated (on 1 July, 2014) my account and refused to pay my royalties kept asking me question regarding my books. I have received more than six such mails from 1 July to 26 July.

It actually hurt me psychologically because however they told me earlier that they have terminated my account and will not pay me my royalties ,still, they kept saying different things at different times (like information regarding a title and making it available in the market which in turn would have earned me more royalties) and until now I haven't received my royalties.

Is there any provisions in the US law to deal such behavior.

If there are provisions for both (1) and (2). Should I need to deal them separately. Means should I need file suit separately for the aforesaid cases.

I live outside of US. Should I need to be there to get the Justice.

The business is based in USA.

Where r u located now? Is there any agreement between you and the publishing house? You have options but answer my question first. That will decide the course of action and recovery of your amount.
