About government pension scheme

My brother in law was working as a government permanent panchayat secretary in a GP ,block under nagaon district assam india since 1991 but the govt grant the post during 2005-06.he was death on April,2009. after his death my sister has not got any pension. we went related offices but they say that working period of my brother in law not above 10 year so no pension will be grant for my sister.

please provide me the suggestion

what can i do

Dear Sir / Madam,

No Government job is permanent, because you have to compulsorily retire from the Government job at the age of 58. If your brother in law was employed in the Government Department since 1991, he has completed more than 17 years service and hence he is entitled to pension. Your sister should lodge a complaint with the Pension Adalat.
