Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in India
my father was a tenant of a room I Mumbai for the past 60yrs but the rm receipt was in the name of his brother who never stayed there.all the other documents are in our name except the rent receipt.when the building went under redevelopment I got the power of attorney from him stating that I had the right to sell redevelop the property whatsoever.when the building went into redevelopment n was on completion after 3yrs his son asked him to revoke the power of attorney n filed suite against us for the claim of this property.mhada has registered the property in my name.can the case be in my favour or should we come to a settlement with him?
