Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in India

Hi Sir, I am staying in a rented house in bangalore. Last week, a big portion of

the cement plastering came down in the kitchen damaging some of our kitchen goods.

Also i had to vacate the hosue and stay outside for the repiar work done thereafter by the owner of the house.

My query is,

as this is a clear case of poor construction of the building(which is just 2 years old) can I claim the loss and additional expenses for arranging temporaty stay outside the house for a week from the house owner?

I have a rental agreement in force which says that all major repair works in the house will be done ny the house owner, but it does not says anything about the expenses incurred by the tenent to stay outside during the repair works.
