Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in India

We are tenant in residence property since 70 yrs in chandni chowk , old delhi . The landlord and his heirs or nominee are not alive . We have paid the rent upto 1979 . After that there is no demand and no claiment to rent . House tax is exempted due to small area . Now kindly let us know to get the property in our favour according to law .

Dear Sir / Madam,

In the absence of the landlord, you are liable to pay the rent from 1979 till date in the Court which you should immediately do. "Once a tenant, always a tenant." There is no way you can become the owner of the residence without Court orders.
