Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in United States

Within a medical practice, can physicians exclusively refer to only one doctor in the practice for procedures even though more than one doctor does the procedure. Or is this discrimination against The other Doctor Who performs the procedure.

How physicians run their practice and exchange referrals within their business is ....just that ... their business. Of course there is no law mandating that referrals somehow be equal.

It may be "discrimination", but it is not discrimination on the basis of race or other suspect classification. Thus to my knowledge, and as Mr. Riddle has also indicated, it is not a violation of law.
