my brother is a Canadian citizen settled in the USA. My father has willed his apartment in India to him after my father passes away. Will my brother have to pay inheritance tax in the USA? Or gift tax in India? Or any taxes in Canada?

Dear Sir / Madam,
No inheritance tax is payable in India. Your brother will have to obtain a Probate from the Court to get the property transferred in his name after your father's demise.

dear client... No tax has to be paid by ur brother .. only he need to get the WILL probated in order to be the true owner of the property and get the name changed... for any query do reply me at uttamtibrewal@yahoo.com
