I had brought an appartment with cheq payments 5yrs back. Trusting my friend i had given the cheques to my friend to give it to the builder. My friend gave the cheques to the builder, but one of the cheques (small amount RS30,000.00),he gave from his account. Which i came to know only recently. Now when th appartment is ready for possession, my friend is saying that he is a joint partner in the appartment .Please advice?? I need a solution to this problem??

friend can only seek recovery of that amount in case his name is not mentioned in the column of owner or co owner.
