Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India
Consequence of hypothecation of immovable property? Should such immovable property be registered and stamp duty be levied(not by way of decree and security bonds) but in a general level? are there any case law i can read and understand it better.

the registration would complete it as a mortgage. stamp duty is just the same as for a conveyance. however if hypothecation was just by way of handing over of title docs then one need not register
