My father in law died without writing a will.he has left behind two married daughters and a son. My mother in law wants to sell the property without his son's consent. My husband (son) is paralytic with no source of income can he claim in his father's property. Does his 2 son's have their share in their grandfather's property. Can my two sisters in law claim in the property if they are well to do.

Madam

Yes your husband will have 1/4 share in the property of his father, provided there is no WILL left by his father. The two daughter will also have 1/4 and 1/4 share in the property and the mother in law will also have 1/4 share in the property.

It make no difference if sisters are well to do or not, it is their legal right and they are entitled to it, like you are claiming for your husband.
