Legal Question in Tax Law in India

Hi, My question is about the PAN card. My PAN number was issued 15 years back (ACTPC9253E) and that time, only numbers were issued and the cards were not provided to the assesses. I have been giving that pan number for all details to my employers, therefore that number is on all of form 16, bank a/cs, ITRs, bank loans etc. Now, I applied for the card for the same number, but due to some problem, the request was rejected by Income Tax department. So, I got a new PAN number issued to myself with my new name (name after marriage) and at my new address (address after marriage). I want to check whether this is problem. I intend to surrender my previous PAN number, but my problem is would I face any issue with a change in PAN number in respect to form 16 in future and all bank details, loans, ITRs etc. What can be the consequences of changing it at this stage?
