Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Cyprus

I am a British Citizen permanently resident in Cyprus. I am working here legally and registered for social insurance and tax in Cyprus.

I am a Home Owner in Cyprus

I wish to make a Cyprus will to cover my Cyprus assets in favour of my Children who live in the UK.

I have been advised by some friends (not a lawyers) to say that any will I produce in Cyprus should contain the wording ...

'This Will and any codicil to it shall be construed in accordance with English law'.

My question to you is ... Would this be advisable?

Being British themselves they believe that they would be safer with this included.

My feelings are that if the Will was specified to be executed under English law it could hold probate up as I live in Cyprus and my property is here.
