Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in India

I live out of kolkata. The other successor, my brother lives in our kolkata house. Original deed in my possession. Can my brother sell the house after getting certified copy of deed without my permission..? If so; how to prevent such selling.

Dear Sir / Madam,

Even though you might be living outside Kolkata, if the title of the Kolkata house where your brother is presently living is in your name, or if your name is first in the deed and your brother's name is second, your brother cannot sell the house by getting a certified copy of the deed. Simply because all property sale-purchase transactions anywhere in India, are strictly done on Owners-seller to Owner-purchaser basis only.
