Zoning issues for non-profit hospitality house

Can we build a house to be used for a non-profit hospital hospitality house in a residential area?

You must have the property zoned for its use before you go far with the plans. This project is similar to the Ronald MeDonald house in Mobile, Alabama. It is located in an area in which homes and businesses are in rather close proximity. You might check with that facility for answers to many questions.
