It certainly can. The best to do is be honest. Bankruptcy is at an all time high nation wide. People are much quicker to give a second chance. When you have legitimate reasons and are just starting your career, many peole will overlook it. Don't be disappointed if one or two seem to be bothered. Just keep trying and being honest. I think you will have about the same amount of success you have otherwise, given your grades and other activities.
