What is the difference between a representation and a warranty?

not an easy question to answer. a warranty is usually in writing and a sort of guarantee that certain things will be done if a product does not work correctly over a certain time limit. a representation is more of a statement of condition of a thing, such as "this engine has never been flooded". i hope this is some help to you.
